Children between the ages of 5 and 8 are invited to
bring their families to explore space science!

When the fun begins:
From 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on the third Saturday of each month.

Make a day of it!
Families are encouraged to bring lunch on sunny days and to enjoy a picnic on the Lunar and Planetary Institute's grounds.

Where to go:
The Institute is located at Universities Space Research Association, 3600 Bay Area Boulevard, Houston, TX 77058. A map of the region and the LPI location is available for download.

Activities/What to Expect:

Hands-on activities and demonstrations will allow children and their families to explore the theme of the day for themselves. Read stories! Color pictures! Get messy with theme-based crafts and learn!

October 17, 7 p.m. – Night Viewing of the Moon 

November 21, 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. – Near Earth Objects

December – No Family Space Day Scheduled. Enjoy your holidays!

Please note: Each child must be accompanied by a responsible parent or adult the entire time they are visiting the LPI.
